| 1914 | The Harrison Drug Act, signed into law by President Wilson this date, requires all persons licensed to sell narcotic drugs to file an inventory of their stocks with the Internal Revenue Service. This marks the beginning of America's most tragic drift away from Constitutional law, the "Drug War".

| 1965 | President Johnson (D) sends troops to the Dominican Republic to "prevent another Communist state in this hemisphere."

| 1978 | Crow Creek Massacre discovered by Robert Alex. A village in South Dakota, the Crow Creek site, was the scene of an early 14th century (about 1325) massacre of nearly 500 Village Farmer people attempting to colonize land to the north. They were probably attacked by warriors of the Middle Missouri tradition, Indians indigenous to South Dakota.

| 2000 | Executive Order (EO) #13152 is issued by Clinton (D), forbidding discrimination in the workplace by reason of a person's marital status or sexual orientation. EO's are used by the president to create laws without having to go through the cumbersome legislative process (as dictated by the Constitution).
