| 1998 | The CBS News program "60 Minutes" showed videotape of Dr. Jack Kevorkian giving lethal drugs to Thomas Youk, a terminally ill patient. Kevorkian, an advocate of assisted suicide, challenged prosecutors to arrest him and later was sentenced to up to 25 years in prison for second-degree murder.
